We Media, Here WE Come
Change the Game. Change the World. Such is the unapologetically zealous slogan for this year’s We Media Conference, held in Miami from February 24-26.
Even the slightest passing glance at the program planned for the conference leaves no doubt that some of the most innovative thinkers, writers, entrepreneurs, and activists, will be collectively working their gray matter into over drive, as they discuss and debate transformational ideas and activities that propagate the fusion of technology and the power of ‘us’ all in the name of the social good; a little something that we like to call – the WE.
This will be my first time attending the conference, and I don’t quite know what to expect. But one thing’s for sure – I’ll be digging out my sunglasses and heading to Miami eager to be assimilated into the boundless cerebral energy of those sharing the conference space at the University of Miami School of Business.
I look forward to getting in over my head (in the best sense of the term) and boldly interacting with cutting-edge changemakers whose minds know no boundaries when it comes to thinking outside the box for bigger and better ways to change the world.
What I’ll leave Miami with is anyone’s guess, though I have an inkling that my take-away from these two days will be an enlightening glimpse of the impact that WE have yet to fully tap into.
