His field of expertise covers object-orientation, service orientation, grid computing and semantic data modeling. Bernard is fascinated to unlock the potential of these technologies in order to harness collective intelligence.

Christian Van Der Henst

Christian, born 1982 in Guatemala. My last name is originally from Belgium several generations behind. Despite the name, my blood is definitely from Latinamerica. Since 97, I have lived for and from the Internet. All started as a hobbie (and it still is). Then I worked for several internet providers, interactive agencies, media and education organizations. I own Maestros del Web, a Guatemalan company that manages communities and web projects. We also provide consultant services for organizations that believe and invest in the potential of virtual media.

My biggest goal is to promote the use of Internet and its technologies in all aspects of the daily life. In a personal aspect, I am an open-minded person and extremely curious. I never get tired of knowing about different cultures and meet friendly people. I love to travel, gastronomy and being spontaneous.
